Opera Unite: a Web server on the Web browser

Opera’s new product Opera Unite is reinventing the web as we know it. They have this new technology of making your own web server on your web browser. Now how cool is that?

Anyway, I still have to explore more about this but I really think that this will be interesting to follow.

Take a peek at a short video below of what Opera Unite is in a nutshell.

Opera Unite is a unique technology that turns any computer or device running Opera into a Web server. In other words, your computer (running Opera Unite) is truly part of the fabric of the Web, rather than just interacting with it, and it’s something anyone can use. With Opera Unite, everyday non-technical users can serve and share content and services directly from their own computers in the form of intuitive applications.

Opera Unite is now available for download for Mac, Linux/Unix and Windows platforms.

Detailed information on this new technology from Opera can be viewed at Opera Unite website.
