Travel: Phuket, Thailand

I just came from a wonderful trip to Phuket, Thailand and I can say it was worth the adventure going there for the first time with no experience of being to Thailand ever. Armed only with information from the internet, we went ahead with the plan to experience Phuket.

After booking our flights, we then searched for a place to stay that would be comfortable yet affordable. It took us about a few days to finally decide to book our hotel through my trusted hotel booking site – Booking.com that provided us more information about the hotels/resorts’ precise location, accommodation details and even photos to help you visualize on what you’ll expect when getting there.

Mystic Lake Sebu

Lake Sebu is a province in South Cotabato region which is about 2 hours drive north of General Santos City in the Philippines. I got a chance to visit this mystical place once again since my last trip here about 11 years ago. It was kind of a different place now but somehow the Lake Seloton is still mystically placid.

Aside from the beauty of the lake, one can head down to the place they call “Seven Falls” which got its name for the series of seven cascading waterfalls. I got the chance to snap the 2nd of the seven falls which was named “Hikong Bente” which means “unmeasurable”

Serenity Sunrise

I managed to find time to wake up very early in the morning a couple of weeks ago to catch a glimpse of the sun rising from the east side of Singapore. My photography buddies went down to the Lower Seletar Reservoir to capture the serenity of the place at sunrise.

Update (16 April 2009): I just received an email from Nikon Club Singapore that one of my photos on my serenity sunrise set was chosen as part of the club’s editor’s choice. Below is the content of the email from them.
