Adobe BrowserLab

Web designers will now have a new best friend in testing the pages of the website creations with a new tool from Adobe – Meet Adobe BrowserLab.

Adobe BrowserLab

With this new online tool, one can check on how a website will look like in Safari 3.0, Firefox 3.0, Internet Explorer 7.0 and yes, for the dreaded Internet Explorer 6.0 as well on both the Mac OS X and Windows platforms. You can also download the Adobe BrowserLab Extension for Dreamweaver CS4 so that you can view exact renderings of your web pages in multiple browsers and operating systems, on demand.

BrowserLab provides web designers exact renderings of their web pages in multiple browsers and operating systems, on demand. BrowserLab is a powerful solution for cross-browser compatibility testing, featuring multiple viewing and comparison tools, as well as customizable preferences. Since BrowserLab is an online service, it can be accessed from virtually any computer connected to the web. Also, Adobe Dreamweaver® CS4 software users have access to additional functionality such as testing local and active content.

Why I really like the idea is because I don’t need to start Parallels or Fusion and load up Windows just to check on how my website looks in the Windows & Internet Explorer environment since I mainly work on a Mac.

You can now take BrowserLab for a spin and see for yourself. Click here for the Free Preview.

WebWatch: Ecomagination

Head out to General Electric’s Smart Grid website and you’ll be amazed on how they created this full flash website. The animation was really awesome, starting from the pre-loader to the whole flash content putting in intricate details of everything.

The best of it all is the integration of a Augmented Reality or digital hologram which is uber cool once you get to actually try it for yourself.

Please check out the video below of me actually doing it.

Go here to try it out and have fun.

Update: The link to the website above is now updated and should be now be working.

Web Watch: The New Lion Air Website

The newly revamped website of Lion Air is now live and can be viewed at www.lionair.co.id.

The New Lion Air Website

The New Lion Air Website

Why am I making a big fuss about this you may ask? Aside from the fact that I find the site much better in terms of layout and usability than the old site, I also happen to be the designer of this website and I’m kinda proud to share to all of you this achievement.

This project was a collaboration of teams from Lion Air in Indonesia, our Interactive Agency in Singapore and of course our partners in the Philippines and Australia.

So I guess we’ll be starting to pack our bags and head to Bali soon!
